Ng Aik Sha: Racing Towards Change, On and Off the Track
Recently crowned Female Driver of the Year 2024, accorded by the Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM), Ng Aik Sha isn’t just making waves on the track, she’s making a difference in people’s lives, as demonstrated during her visit to The PWW Shop in Ipoh Old Town this afternoon.

A Visit with a Purpose
Ng Aik Sha recently dropped by The PWW Shop to lend her support for one of her sponsors, Ipoh-based Autoria Sdn Bhd.

Mr Loke Kok Ming, the Managing Director of Autoria, had brought in boxes of fresh vegetables from Cameron Highlands, generously donated by his farmer contacts, such as Yan Ming Plantation Sdn. Bhd.
From iceberg lettuce and bell peppers to mustard greens and tomatoes, these fresh produce were distributed to 60 household beneficiaries, including Rainbow Children’s Home in Ipoh.
Mr Loke has been a staunch supporter of Perak Women for Women Society (PWW), an organisation dedicated to helping women and underprivileged communities. Since the COVID-19 lockdown, he has been actively providing food aid, and Aik Sha was more than happy to stand by him in this initiative.

A Champion, On and Off the Track
Many know Aik Sha for her achievements in motorsport, but her journey is anything but typical. Born in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, she holds a Master’s degree in Pharmacy, and once worked as a manufacturing pharmacist specialising in cancer medications.
However, racing has always been her passion. What started as a hobby in 2016 soon turned into a pursuit more challenging.

Over the years, she has competed in various motorsport disciplines—autocross, time attack, drifting—and even represented Malaysia at the Asia Auto Gymkhana Competition (AAGC), where she secured 2nd place in both Bali and Bangkok.
She has raced in Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia, including being selected for the Proton R3 Ladies Racers search programme.
Winning the Female Driver of the Year 2024 was more than just a personal achievement—it was a statement of empowerment for women in motorsport. As she put it: “This accomplishment is not solely mine; it is a declaration of empowerment for women in motorsport who, like me, embarked on their journey later in life. It proves that focused determination yields extraordinary results.”
A Role Model for Women
Aik Sha is determined to encourage more young women to get behind the wheel and challenge the stereotypes in motorsport. Despite her growing success, she remains approachable, humble, and passionate about giving back to the community.
Her sponsors in Toyota Gazoo Racing Malaysia, Autoria Sdn Bhd from Ipoh and Golden Trading from Kundasang, Sabah, are more than just financial backers—they’re partners in her journey to create change.
By supporting them, she’s reinforcing the importance of community, gratitude, and paying it forward.
Off the track, she joins her husband in running an online F&B patisserie business.
